On October 10, Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius awarded a number of people at the City Hall for successful initiatives and efforts which helped to shape Vilnius in 2018. One of the people awarded was the head of GATO, Brigita Kymantaitė.

“You do more good and work harder for the well-being of the city than your current job requires, not counting the time that you have given up to work. I am glad to know that we work in a team that sincerely works for our city to be light, cozy, and healthy, and the wishes, expectations, and hopes of Vilnius residents become real jobs, thanks to which most residents feel that Vilnius is the best city to live in,” thanked the mayor.

The City Hall solemnly thanked those who care most about Vilnius, have ambitions and energy to create a positive change in the city. Several dozen employees received commemorative badges – “For Merits to Vilnius Municipality”. The mayor of Vilnius emphasized that today they were honoring those, who know how to negotiate and talk to the citizens, who listen and help to solve problems, too.

The head of GATO Brigita Kymantaitė started cooperating with representatives of the Vilnius City Municipality more than ten years ago.
